The Fabulous Arts Foundation proudly presents 0–99: The Art of a Rainbow Life : Still Here, Still Becoming, an intergenerational exhibition celebrating queer life, resilience, transformation, memory, and becoming across generations.
Featuring artists from youth to elderhood, this exhibition explores the many ways LGBTQIA+ people navigate identity, community, healing, joy, loss, and self-discovery throughout their lives. Through visual art, sound, storytelling, installation, movement, and experimental practices, 0–99 creates space for generations to connect through shared histories, chosen family, survival, and imagination.
Join us for the opening reception on August 8th from 3:00–5:00 PM at the Community Gallery at Sarasota Art Museum. The celebration will include special performances, opportunities to meet participating artists, and a chance to experience works that reflect the beauty, complexity, and evolution of queer and trans lives across generations.
At its heart, 0–99 centers a simple truth: LGBTQIA+ lives are not defined by a single moment. We are continuously growing, surviving, dreaming, remembering, and redefining ourselves. This exhibition honors the ongoing journey of becoming and the vibrant legacy of those who came before us while uplifting the voices shaping our future.
Special performances in the McGuire Hall. Check back for schedule and artists.
All are welcome to join us in celebrating the creativity, resilience, and stories that connect us across generations.
