Swamp Yell Sound Lab is an experimental, hands-on sound exploration session led by Shannon Fortner.

Join us on June 17th from 4:00 PM–7:00 PM at 925 Maddox Gallery + Center for an immersive creative experience where participants are invited to explore pedals, keyboards, and sound-making tools to build their own unique soundscapes. No musical experience is required this is a welcoming space for curiosity, play, and artistic expression.

This session encourages participants to experiment with texture, noise, rhythm, and resonance in a supportive, community-centered environment. Whether you’re a seasoned artist or completely new to sound exploration, Swamp Yell Sound Lab offers an open space to listen deeply, create freely, and connect through experimental sound.

Bring your own intruments and pedals, we will DI boxes and mics..

Together we'll build sonic textures, discover new ways of making music, and connect through shared creativity in the Fab LGBTQIA+ Center & Gallery.
